Weidesign in Museum of Bags

With a new exhibition the Museum of Bags proves that handcraft techniques are back in fashion. Well known designers and fashion houses are using tradtional techniques such as weaving, embroidery, knitting and crochet. Old bags and new designs, both using the same techniques, are exhibited side by side.

Weidesign office bag 002-010, charcoal black felt and handcrafted Wensleydale wool is on display.

The museum shows how certain techniques work as well as how technical evolution has developed over the course of time. From the exhibition, one can clearly observe the eternal love that designers have for the trade and its techniques. There are many contemporary bags exhibited from designers both from abroad and the Netherlands, like Weidesign.
